Milano manga festival

Yesterday I managed to sneak preview of Milan Manga Festival, an exhibition dedicated to 200 years of art manga, which officially starts today and will end on July 21.

The exhibition identifies the origins of manga in Hokusai's manga, and follow its evolution to the present day. The route is circular, with explanatory signs followed by various prints of pages of manga. There are also originals, including even works of Hokusai.
Special areas, where watch movies, browse manga and so on, complete the chronological exibition. At the moment there is also a special exhibition about Captain Tsubasa.
There will be also special events, meetings with various guests (curators of the exhibition and mangaka as Yoichi Takahashi) and the presentation of works umpublished in Italy.
Although I wish there were more originals, it was still a thrill to see the works of famous artists of ukiyo-e and some of the first mangas. More generally, I think this exibition was very nice and well organized.
