Restyling di una felpa bucata/Ripped hoodie restyling

Tempo fa mio fratello mi ha regalato quella che era la sua felpa preferita prima di bucarsi sulla pancia e la spalla. Ormai la mia famiglia sa che sono una sorta di ospedale per vestiti rotti, per cui quando c'è qualcosa di rovinato lo regalano a me sperando che ne ricavi qualcosa.
Inizialmente su questa felpa avevo progetti estremamente ambiziosi, fra cui trasformarla nell'ennesimo vestito con orecchie da animale.

Some time ago my brother gave me what was his favorite hoodie before ripping it on the stomach and shoulder. By now my family knows that I am a sort of hospital for broken clothes, so when something gets ruined they give it to me hoping that I will make something of it.
At first I had very ambitious plans on this hoodie, including turning it into yet another garment with animal ears.

Riflettendoci bene però ho pensato ad una soluzione più semplice ma efficace per nascondere i buchi: un'applicazione. Prima ho cucito i buchi. Poi, in una stoffa color muschio (è anche un po' pelosina e luccicante), ho tagliato una testa di cervo delle dimensioni giuste per nascondere le cuciture sulla parte inferiore della felpa. Con l'aggiunta di corna fatte con uno spesso filo peloso sono riuscita anche a coprire il buchino sulla spalla.
Oltre ad essere funzionale, il risultato ha uno stile e dei colori che si adattano bene al resto del mio armadio!

Thinking about it, however, I decided for a simpler yet effective way to hide the holes: an applique. I started sewing the holes. Then, in a moss-colored cloth (it's also a bit furry and shiny), I cut a deer's head of the right size to hide the stitches on the bottom of the sweatshirt. With the addition of horns made with a thick fluffy thread I was also able to cover the small hole on the shoulder.
In addition to being functional, the result has a style and colors that fit well with the rest of my closet!
