I have a weakness for t-shirts with moon prints. I have seen many beautiful ones on the internet and I thought about how to make one myself. I thought about using bleach, but it weakens fabric. In the end I decided to buy white fabric colour.
First, with the help of two dishes of different sizes I drew a crescent moon on a piece of cardboard, then I cut it away using a cutter.

I placed the stencil on the t-shirt (it would have be convenient to it secure with scotch tape).

Then I soaked a sponge in color and tapped the stencil with it, trying to get a more intense white on the outer part of the moon. Using a sponge gives the impression of lunar spots.

After waiting a little to let the color begin to dry and avoid smearing, I removed the stencil.

At this point, the t-shirt might have been ready, but I wanted to add stars. I covered the inside of the moon and I splashed color on the shirt with a brush. The result was not what I hoped (the color also overshot the papers that I had put under the t-shirt, staining the things around!), so I ended the work using a toothpick.

Brilliant! Love this! I'm on a real thrift drive at the moment so I'm looking for ways to customise what I already have. This looks so good, I will have to try it!

Bella idea comunque, devo sperimentarla.

@Sere: grazie mille!

@Amy: I'm really happy you like it!!!

@Ciccola: d'altronde anche la lana è sensata! Grazie :D
