Come al solito sono stata per un po' di tempo ospite di mio suocero in Liguria con la Pelosa Metà.
As usual I have been for a while at my father-in-law's with the Hairy Half.
Abbiamo visto i fuochi di San Nicolò a Pietra Ligure, fatto una gita in moto fra borghi medievali e alle grotte di Toirano, fatto una camminata notturna con rievocazione storica alla fortezza e al castello di Finalborgo e siamo andati al palio di Albenga (presto pubblicherò qualche resoconto).
Sono anche riuscita a leggere un po' (Wicked e vari altri romanzi che recensirò a breve).
We saw the Saint Nicholas fireworks in Pietra Ligure, we went on a motorbike ride visiting medieval towns and the caves of Toirano, made a night walk with historical reenactment to the fortress and the castle of Finalborgo and went to the historical reenactment of Albenga (soon I will publish some report).
I've also been able to read a bit (Wicked and several other novels I will review briefly).
L'ultimo weekend del mese sono andata sul lago Maggiore a fare il barbecue con amici.
The last weekend of the month I went to Maggiore lake to have a barbecue with friends.
A livello di creatività mi sono bloccata su di un progetto che assorbe tutte le mie energie, ma a fine mese sono riuscita a instaurare una routine positiva di disegno. Spero di riuscire a concluderlo e iniziare anche qualcosa di nuovo il mese prossimo.
At a creativity level, I got stuck on a project that absorbs all my energies, but at the end of the month I managed to establish a positive drawing routine. Next month I hope to be able to finish it and start something new.
Ho ricominciato a provare nuove ricette, come la carbonara con i cipollotti e le trofie gamberi e arancia. Ho fatto vita sociale e ho provato un nuovo ristorante, Shamo in via Papiniano a Milano. In generale ho mangiato un sacco e ho preso peso, uffa!
I started to try new recipes, like carbonara with spring onions and the shrimp and orange trofie. I went out a lot and tried a new restaurant. In general, I ate a lot and took some weight, uff!
Anche a livello di shopping, come tutte le estati, mi sono lasciata parecchio andare. Ho girato per saldi, per mercati e ho trovato vestiti perfino al supermercato. Dovrei darmi una regolata.
Talking about shopping, like all summers, I let myself go. I went sales shopping, went to a couple of markets, and I bought a dress even at the supermarket. I should restrain myself a bit.
